Sunburned lips are very much irritating. Sunburned lips are very painful. It happens due to exposure to harsh sunrays. It also happens due to losing of moisture. It is associated with chapped lips.

There are some symptoms of sunburned lips. Burning sensation in the lips, hot feeling, cracked lips, and skin of the lip will be sensitive, split of lips, sometimes bleeding will occur, sores on lips, forming scabs due to bleeding, pain and itching on lips, blisters on lips, swelling lips, color of lips become pink or red these are some symptoms.

There is various remedy of sunburned lips. Lips are very much sensitive. So we must take extra care of them. By using sunscreen lotion on lips we can prevent it. While using sunscreen lotion on the other part of our body we must not forget to apply it on our lips. When we suffer from sunburned lips we should not touch the lips. We should moisturize the lips. We should apply petroleum jelly after a regular interval of time. The jelly must have vitamin E, waxes, lalonin. These will help to lock the moisturizer. We should not lick our lips many times. There are some herbal remedies. They work well. We can use Aloe vera gel. It helps to minimize the burning sensation. It also helps in the healing process. Olive oil can also be applied on lips.We should not go outside while applying olive oil. Applying cold will also give relief. We can keep a dump clothe in freeze for sometimes and then we can compress the lips with it. Potato juice will also helpful. The starch of potato juice has a cooling effect. By applying the potato juice we can reduce the burning sensation. Clarified butter is also good. It has moisturizing effect. We can apply the clarified butter on lips. Fresh milk cream is very much effective. We can mix crushed rose petals, sandalwood powder with fresh milk cream and can apply it on lips. It will reduce the burning sensation of lips. If blisters are developed on lips then we have to use antiseptic wipes according to doctor's advice.

We must increase our fluid intake. We should keep patience and follow the remedy. Thus we can cure the sunburned lips. By avoiding sun exposure we can prevent it. We must moisture our lips with jelly and sunscreen with 15 SPF. We must drink plenty of fluid to prevent it.

Before going out in the sun, you must always apply some sunscreen. The sunscreen that you choose must not have SPF less than 15, besides it should carry such properties which lock the moisture as well. Also, moisturize your lips regularly to prevent your lips from getting sunburns. Most of us apply sunscreen to face and other body parts but leave out lips. This should be prevented as lips too are an integral part of your face and beautiful lips definitely enhance the beauty of your face.
